BIG Engineering works as an in-house department and is a fully integrated piece within the design philosophy practiced by BIG. Our engineers closely communicate with architects from an early stage of the project, providing first-hand coordination, support and minimizing cost and risk. The team specializes in designing structures which require advanced analyses and forward-thinking solutions in order to deliver a high-quality project. BIG Engineering has worked on many projects ranging from local museums and art installations all the way to student housings, transport terminals, high-efficiency sustainable powerplants and smart cities – all with sustainability as a corner stone for this holistic design process. In its workflow, the structural team uses several cutting-edge tools developed in-house, such as a concept design tool to provide structural feedback for architectural massing, as well as a parametric design tool for bowl design, which enables the team to quickly respond to changes in design.TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST:Have at least 3 years of engineering school behind you, with a focus on structural engineering Have knowledge and experience with at least 2 of the following: Rhino, Revit, Grasshopper, Dynamo and ETABS/SAP 2000 Have a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working Be able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction Have great interpersonal communication skills Be fluent in English Be a current student.Graduates (master level) cannot be considered as interns in regards to the Danish legislation.
