Join our Smart Product Technology department, where we are covering several R&D project within VELUX’s digital system solutions, stretching from the edge to the cloud. You will be a part of a global team with specialists, technical leads and developers, where you will work in a Scrum team with software development focusing on best in class software for the cloud. As a software developer your responsibilities will be to:Code and implement best in class software solutions Code and implement automated testing for software solutionsEngage with product owners and tech leads to support architecture design and documentation of the software solutions in the projectsThis gives you a great opportunity to develop your competencies as a developer and build a great professional network. You will be employed for about 10-20 hours weekly and offered a flexible workplan that can be adapted to fit your educational needs and study programme. We are based at our office in Østbirk and you will have the opportunity to work from home when the schedule allows it. Your qualifications Since you will be involved in a variety of tasks, you have to be a fast learner and good at structuring your time. We expect that you have completed the first two year of your bachelor’s degree within software, computer science or similar, or perhaps have begun your master’s, and that you have a personal drive to improve your programming skills. You will be working with the following tools, methods and languages, and knowledge of one or more of them would be an advantage:Unit testing and knowledge of CI/CDGITSoftware container tools such as DockerAzure DevOpsVarious programming language (e.g. Python, C++, C#)You are a team player and also are expected to work on an individual basis with technical tasks as well as in a team. You have a good eye for details in coding and implementation and know how to work in a Scrum or agile team. We expect you to be proactive, seeking information and clarifications yourself, and formulating problems and solutions with your colleagues.
