Then we are very interested to hear from you.As Service Engineer at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers Company, you will have the important role of delivering high-level service to our customers in Scandinavia. The role is ideal for someone with strong on-site customer service skills, who is passionate about customer contact and contributing to good relationships. You are ready to do your utmost, knowing that it benefits a vital purpose.You will be part of a dedicated service team with 18 colleagues in Scandinavia. Although your colleagues are often on-site helping other customers, you will find that your team and your manager is always ready to support you.Role Responsibilities: Your work area and focus are directed toward the University hospitals in Scandinavia. Your primary duties will be to:Service and maintain Varian’s installed base of linear accelerators: TrueBeam, Halcyon and Ethos.Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic circuits on the systems.Perform failure analysis using service instructions, bulletins and manuals and with the use of measuring equipment.Perform final checks/QA and calibrations with hospital technicians and physicists.Skills & Experience Required: To be successful in this role requires independence, maturity and a high level of quality awareness. And since the job involves approx. 3-5 overnight travel days per month, sometimes with short notice, the job also requires a degree of flexibility.We expect you to be highly skilled in your profession as a service engineer. Varian will complement your technical knowledge with thorough training in our products.We expect our new Service Engineer to possess the following qualifications and characteristics:Experience in service and support of electrical and mechanical systems as well as understanding of complex circuits in which they are included.Experience troubleshooting IT systems and networking.Thorough, structured and analytical in your work methodology and able to follow complex technical procedures and instructions.Fluent in English as well as one or more of the Scandinavian languages.Good customer service and an analytical mindset.Understands the importance of proper documentation and follow-up.Your education and experience can have many angles, for example: Electronics Engineer/Technician, Automation Engineer/Technician or similar. Experience from the medical industry or from previous work with CT, MRI, Linear accelerator is an advantage.As a person, you are service minded with a humble approach to the task at hand. You are attentive and manage to put the customer in focus and you always act as a good ambassador for Varian.
