The position You will play a key role in shaping the future operational model, together with our Central Manufacturing Development team, Work Package Owners, and Subject Matter Experts within the process tracks in the AP Expansions programme. Your assistance will be crucial in ensuring that the operating principles is well defined and rolled out when ramping into production, as well as enable us to achieve an operation we will be proud of in 20 years. This will require significant collaboration with other work packages as well as the existing operations, and the ability to achieve the best possible solution taking multiples constraints into consideration will be key. The objective of the Operational Readiness work package where the Senior Lean Partner is anchored is to ensure that already from the design stage, we have the future process in mind. This starts with the current best practices in the industry and across Novo Nordisk, and then brings in state of the art technologies and processes to ensure that we not only design the best process but also have the data available to drive CI (Continuous Improvement) activities. The key tasks will be: Drive definition of operational excellence ambition for AP Expansions Provide systematic problem-solving support through coaching and facilitating Develop, lead and/or facilitate CI Kaizen workshops, problem solving workshops Apply PDCA/DMAIC methodologies to achieve significant improvements in business, support, & production processes centred around the AP module compared to current benchmarks Provide direction, coaching, & mentoring for project team members Qualifications To be successful in this role you need to have: Degree in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, or other related field or equivalent experience and education Demonstrated experience of LEAN system design and implementation within manufacturing, maintenance, quality assurance or supply chain function either in pharmaceutical or other related industry Experience in policy definition and deployment (Hoshin Kanri) for new processes / facilities and start-up Knowledge of and ability to drive a significant portion of the following: 8 Wastes, Yamazumi, SMED, Pull Systems, Takt Time, LEAN Layout, Standardized Work, VSM & 5S An excellent command of verbal and written English; command of Danish, French or Chinese in addition is a plus as some travel to China, France, USA and within Denmark is required As a person, you take initiative naturally and have a strong personal drive and dedication. Bringing a good sense of humour to work even when pressure is on and thrive in a changing and dynamic environment is also important. About the department Technology Standards is a department in the newly created area of AP Expansions which is anchored within Product Supply, which globally accounts for +19,000 of Novo Nordisk’s +44,000 employees. The responsibility of AP Expansion is to plan and execute the establishment of new aseptic filling capacity across the global manufacturing network within BioTech and Rare Diseases (BRD) and Injectable Finished Products (IFP) for new filling platforms while ensuring harmonisation and global standards. Across the different roles there is a distinct global aspect as the end goal is a global standard and best practice, and working with multiple sites, cultures and traditions will be a key element.
