Job Description We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join ourDemand Forecastingproduct team. In this role you will be responsible for designing and building scalable and robust data pipelines and harden and scale ML models and algorithms in a Data Science Engineering product team, responsible for delivering short- and long-term demand forecasts to business partners.Come join us!Core ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the design, integration architecture, and implementation for the migration of the Demand Forecasting models and pipelines to Databricks. Furthermore, you will build and automate robust and scalable data ETL and ML model management pipelines as well as data APIs to integrate with downstream consumers. We expect you to serve as the main point of contact for Data Scientists and Data Analysts and help them to adopt a modern, CI/CD driven software development process and be an inspiration for junior colleagues and actively help them to grow as software engineers e.g., through workshops and code reviews. Lastly, you will actively contribute to data (science) engineering principles on competency team level together with other Senior and Lead Engineers.Play your part in ourteam succeedingYou will be part of the Data Science Products (DSP) organisation, which is the home of 50+ data science and engineering colleagues, distributed across our Denmark and UK offices. DSP is responsible for incubating, developing, and rolling out a broad portfolio of data science, AI and ML products across many different business areas and drive data engineering and architecture excellence.As a Senior Data Engineer based in our London or Billund office, you will be reporting into the Head of Data Science Engineering within DSP. Besides working in matrix & agile product team, you will also have the opportunity to allocate some of your time to proof-of-concepts, greenfield and incubation projects outside the main product scope.Doyouhavewhatittakes?Our ideal candidate comes from computer science or equivalent industry experience in software engineering with few years of experience in building data pipelines using modern data processing tools and frameworks, such as Apache Spark, Flink or Airflow. Furthermore, you have a background in building and deploying solutions on AWS or other cloud computing platforms. In addition, you are / have:Proficiency in data integration techniques, ETL processes and data pipeline architectures.Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, relational databases).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex data-related issues.Strong software development skills (Python)Experienced in designing and deploying complex application architectures using AWS cloud-native components.Familiarity with data security standard processes.Willing to travel about two weeks per year (3-4 trips).Nice to have:Prior experience working with Databricks platform.Practical knowledge in demand forecasting model.#LI-BL1What’s in it for you?
