R&D Engineer for Exploratory Medical Device Development – Novo Nordisk – Hillerød

In this position you will get a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and ever-changing role with a wide range of stakeholders. The positionIn close collaboration with colleagues, your main tasks are to:Establish user needs and system requirementsEngage in the mechanical design process to ensure link between design, requirements, test and verification, incl. writing of verification plan and reportSupport the risk manager in driving the risk process as neededBe the design control anchor point for the project(s). Ensuring design control is adequately implemented in the design process and in the associated project documentation. This includes being the interface to a wide range of stakeholders to ensure alignment and agreement on the content of documentsCoordinate subgroups in the project and take charge on interface towards internal and external stakeholders QualificationsYou hold a master’s degree in engineering (e.g., biomedical, mechanical) or have a natural science backgroundYou have 3 – 6 years’ experience of working with medical devices and design control (ISO13485, 21CFR part 820, MDR 2017/745), preferably within requirement engineering You have professional proficiency within oral and written English As a person, you are analytical and structured with good planning skills. You demonstrate attention to detail, while keeping an overview of the project deliverables. You are positive with an open and flexible mindset with a drive to take on new tasks. You embrace new ideas and changes and can take lead bringing new solutions and improvements forward, so the team becomes even better. You are a strong communicator and a team player recognised for your interpersonal skills, who bring a “can do” spirit, a healthy common sense and a good sense of humour to your work.  About the departmentOur department Alternative Delivery Technology (ADT) is located in Hillerød. We are part of Novo Nordisk Devices & Delivery Solutions, which is responsible for the development of medical devices for disease self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S.  In ADT our task is to be on the forefront of innovation. We design and develop devices with cutting edge technology, primarily with exploratory aim on novel administration routes.  We bring them forward to a clinical investigation with the purpose to meet real user needs of people with different chronic diseases. The department consists of a wide mixture of professional competences across mechanics, material engineering, design control, risk management, project management and more.
