Project Manager, Upstream Partnership – VELUX Group – Kolding

Your challengesAs our new Project Manager, you will report into Anna Nesterova (Director, Head of Procurement Excellence), and be located at our location in Østbirk. Alternatively, you can be employed in Kolding, and should expect to have your work location moved to Østbirk in 2025. Our feedback culture is essential, and we focus on a high level of empowerment of the individual.In your role as Project Manager, you will work closely with the Partnership Program Manager, who is overall strategically responsible to ensure that the portfolio partnership is sufficient, needed risk mitigation actions are prioritized and any escalation needed is taking place.Your main focus as Project Manager (“partnership responsible”) will be to project manage several partnerships, to ensure that projects plans are in place, facilitate steering committee meetings with suppliers as well as meetings with the project team, consolidating results, resources, risks overview needed as basis for decisions by the cross-functional steering group consisting of senior management.In addition, you will be handling multiple tasks, such as:Developing detailed project plans and coordinate activities within individual supplier partnerships across functions such as Procurement, Logistics, Products, Supplier Quality & ESG, and the Legal team.Ensuring internal alignment in the working group by coordinating the commercial track of the partnerships and the technical track with innovation roadmap.Securing progress on technical and commercial roadmaps by following up on the activities, facilitating meetings with the Technical Program Manager and Category Managers.Acting as partnerships key point of contact within VELUX and towards the supplier engaged in the partnership.Ensuring risk management within individual partnership in terms of carbon reduction targets, budget, timeline.Securing overview of performance within partnerships, incorporating carbon footprint contributions and reductions, cost projections, timelines etc.Working closely with our Partnership Program Manager to ensure prioritization is in place, escalation takes place if needed.Managing the Partnership steering committee, including coordination, preparation and facilitation of the Steering Committee meetings.Your qualificationsIt is essential and required that youbring proven project management skills, and a minimum 2 years of experience as project manager, where you have handled projects on your own, including steering committee meetings, project plans, budgets, risk management etc.Have a natural ability to build up a network and manage your key stakeholders professionally, e.g. within direct procurement, products, and supplier teams.Possess advanced written and verbal English language skills.Bring a business degree on Bachelor’s or Master’s level, for example within Engineering, Business, Sustainability.Are able and motivated by working on your own initiative with your project, and that you do not let obstacles and push back bring you down.Possess great interpersonal and communication skills.Have the ability to navigate in a complex matrix organization.It would be beneficial if you bring former experience with decarbonization or sustainability programs/projects, but it is not a requirement.This role requires approximately 15-25 days per year of travelling within Denmark and Europe.Your opportunitiesYou will be part of an international company where commitment and mutual respect are among our core values. Through the partnership with WWF, VELUX finances forest protection and restoration projects that capture the equivalent of our historical emissions from operations since 1941 and up until 2041. The verified carbon units generated by the forest projects are retired and donated as a contribution to the host countries’ national climate target under the Paris agreement.
