Program Manager, Sustainability – VELUX Group – Hørsholm

Your challengesAs our new Program Manager, you will report into Anna Nesterova (Director, Head of Procurement Excellence) and be located at our location in Hørsholm or Østbirk, alternatively in another country within Europe at a VELUX location or from your home. Our feedback culture is essential, and we focus on a high level of empowerment of the individual.In your role as Program Manager, your main focus to ensure that activities within decarbonization in Logistics are well aligned into the overall program, and provide sparing and knowledge to the Logistics sustainability program manager in charge. You will also be responsible for defining needed tools, processes and support materials to drive carbon out efficiently.In collaboration with three other program managers (two in Denmark and one in US) and with the support of analysts, you will drive the establishment of needed support tools.In addition, you will be handling multiple tasks, such as:Define policies and requirements to suppliers within decarbonization to be broadly communicated.Collect intelligence about current supply chain carbon reduction ambitions and programs to assess the expected footprint in 2030.Guide analyst teams in the direction for further data maturity of carbon footprint data within Direct and Indirect Procurement, Logistics and VELUX Commercial. As part of this, you will manage the project related to data models enhancement.Together with the management team and Logistics program manager, you will structure and scope the program for decarbonization (of Upstream and Downstream Logistics), including defining objectives, deadlines and milestones.Define the needed enablers, supporting tools and materials to ensure efficient work within decarbonization. Together with analysts and program managers, develop tools required to support e.g. business case calculations, the stimulation of idea generation etc.Develop necessary documentation to capture the procedures supporting decarbonization activities (e.g. rules of engagement, supplier requirements etc.).Drive communication towards material category teams and management team regarding the program.Prepare program status reports, including progress reports, risks and mitigation actions, detailed timeline and action plans etc.Prepare steering committee materials and VELUX management group reports to capture the status and necessary decisions in relation to the decarbonization program.Furthermore, VELUX also intends to initiate further decarbonization activities in its make-to-order business known as VELUX Commercial. Your task in this regards will be to develop a program and road map to define what groups of activities (levers) should be rolled out, and to engage with the Procurement and R&D teams of VELUX Commercial.Your qualificationsIt is essential and required that youbring proven program management skills, and a minimum 3 years program management experience where you have handled programs on your own, including coordinating large cross functional teams, steering committee meetings, project plans, budgets, risk management etc. Alternatively, you bring minimum 3 years of experience leading large, complex projects in an international matrix organization.Possess advanced written and verbal English language skills.Are able and motivated by working on your own initiative with your project, and that you do not let obstacles and push back bring you down.Bring a degree on Bachelor’s or Master’s level, for example within Engineering, Business, Sustainability.Have a natural ability to build up a network and manage your key stakeholders professionally in a complex, international matrix organization.Possess great interpersonal and communication skills.Have the ability to navigate in a complex matrix organization.It would be beneficial if you bring former experience with decarbonization or sustainability programs/projects, but it is not a requirement.In case you will be employed in Hørsholm or Østbirk, you should expect approximately 15-25 days of travelling per year within Denmark and Europe.In case you will be employed outside Denmark, you should expect to travel to Denmark once every 1-2 months, 3-4 days at a time).Your opportunitiesYou will be part of an international company where commitment and mutual respect are among our core values. The verified carbon units generated by the forest projects are retired and donated as a contribution to the host countries’ national climate target under the Paris agreement.
