In Biostatistics we are approximately 250 statisticians and statistical programmers globally, organised in departments supporting our development projects (e.g. Diabetes, Obesity, Haemophilia, and other serious chronic diseases). Primarily we perform our statistical work in-house, thus we offer a wide variety of statistical tasks and challenges and provide a strong scientific community. The positionIn this position you will be a key driver of the development of new statistical methodologies and recommendations, researching for opportunities where new methodology could save costs and time. You will share your knowledge across the organisation and engage with external statistical communities and academia. Thus, you will be communicating statistical problems and ideas to both statisticians and non-statisticians as well as be contributing to statistical analyses needed for authorities, helping to ensure that our products reach the right patients at the right time. Responsibilities will include:provide expert advice on complex statistical problems within drug development and occasionally perform such complex analysesdrive statistical thinking and knowledge sharing across project areas, especially by teaching and mentoring but not exclusivelyrepresent Biostatistics in the internal and external communities demonstrating thorough insights and interpretation of internal and external factorsprovide statistical advice on complex statistical problems within the non-clinical area and occasionally perform statistical analyses. QualificationsAs a minimum you meet the following requirements:MSc with emphasize on Statistical methodology, e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or similar5 years of experience within clinical or biostatistical researchAct as driver and leading member of the project teams you are part of It will be a strong advantage if you have: PhD with emphasize on Statistical methodologyExperience from a pharmaceutical company or other global organisationExperience with statistical analysis of biological dataExperience from supervision of colleaguesExperience with SAS, R or other programming languages As a person you are thrive in a role where you independently and proactively identify problems and seek new innovative solutions while handling several challenging tasks in parallel without compromising the quality of your work.
