Our Site Characterisation team is a major contributor to achieve our target and to bring clean energy to shore. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects from early development phase through design and construction and watch the projects you support emerge form an undeveloped site to a fully operational offshore windfarm. As an RWE principal geotechnical engineer you will have the opportunity to develop our offshore wind portfolio, and your own professional development through the support of the multi-disciplinary approach of the “Geo” disciplines within the team. Due to a continued stream of projects we are seeking to strengthen our Site Characterisation and Ground Modelling Team with a Principal Geotechnical Engineer.Your future plansYou will be responsible for developing and continually improving offshore geotechnical data acquisition, interpretation and reportingPreparation of specifications, technical tender assessment and acquired data collation and review, ensuring our surveys deliver high levels of quality data to optimise engineering solutionsUtilise your offshore geotechnical experience for supporting all aspects of an offshore windfarm including HDDs, cables and foundations Communication of findings to management, external stakeholders and internal packages and develop project geo risk registersAlongside this you will bring proven experience of working with integration of data sets for development of Ground ModelsSupport R&D and the continued development of inhouse geotechnical tools and integration with the structural teamsWorking on an interesting role with an extensive remit, working across our portfolio of wind farms at all stages from early site prospecting to construction and post-construction supportYour profileMSc or equivalent in Geotechnics, or in a relevant geoscience disciplineAbility to QC large and varied datasets combined with good project management skills Proven experience of working at a Principal level and the ability to support and develop teamsProven Geotechnical Design experience and background in geotechnical surveysStrong experience reviewing technical reports, interpretation of Geotechnical data, familiarity with geotechnical softwareDemonstrable competency in working within multi-discipline teams with a high level of communication skills at all levelsVery good communicator and excellent team playerGood understanding of Industry Technical Codes, Process and Regulations, nice to haveExperience integrating geophysical and geotechnical datasets, nice to haveExperience managing large technical datasets, nice to haveWillingness to travel internationally
