The position is available from 1 October 2022 or later.Title:CMOS integrated circuit and system design of power management unitResearch area and project description:The project will focus on design of a high performance analog front-end a for IoT applications. A key objective of this project is the development of a very low-noise AFE and high performance analog to digital converter for very low-power IoT systems.As part of the project, highly innovative circuits and systems solutions will be developed using advanced CMOS technologies, as well as supporting sub-systems to be developed, measured, verified, and published in top international journals and conferences in the field.Project description. The design will be taped-out in nanoscale CMOS technologies. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team of people from different fields, and in close collaboration with industry partners.The ideal candidate will have the following profile (but not all items are required for a successful application):Relevant Master’s degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering).Excellent undergraduate and master’s degree grades are required.Background on IC design, especially on power management units (converters and regulators) is highly desired, but candidates from other disciplines will be considered based on their merits and potentials.Gain a thorough understanding of low-power design challenges in CMOS technologyExperience with Cadence software is desired.Excellent English verbal and written skills are required.
