The jobholder is responsible for providing financial analysis to ensure that commercial decisions conducted by the business are taken objectively, in full awareness of the financial implications. The role covers Revenue and Investment side of Marketing Finance for both Combustibles and New Categories for Nordic markets. The jobholder is reporting to the Senior Marketing Finance Manager and liaises with Managers in Finance, Marketing and Legal. The jobholder acts as a trusted business advisor to challenge and support the business to improve overall performance.The position is based in our Nordic head office in Copenhagen close to the Central Station. Take a virtual tour and learn more about our office culture here: Welcome to BAT DenmarkReports to: Senior Marketing Finance Manager NordicsReporting Level: Manages selfGeographic Scope: LocalWHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR* Involvement in all key marketing investment and pricing decisions, providing accurate, practical, and value-adding information in the areas of:* Business case preparation, financial analysis of new potential or any existing launches* Scenario modelling to support pricing decisions* Marketing Effectiveness and Efficiency through financial analyses and insights of Brand, Trade, and key accounts performance* Distribution and trade remuneration* Ensure transparent and objective financial insight is provided to support commercial decisions, these include:* Committed and actual Marketing expenditure against the plan, Net Turnover analysis* Retail channel and platform profitability analysis and comparisons, incl. total customer investment* Return on investment measures supporting investment decisions* Financial modelling and competitor analysis* Act as a true business partner to Marketing providing guidance and challenge to ensure effective allocation of company resources* Take an active role in the entire Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) monthly process:* Responsible for the Reporting of Marketing Investments and Net Turnover* Represent Marketing Finance in Cycle Planning & Demand Review meetings* Provide strategic information into the monthly S&OP process* Responsible for all financial aspects of KPI tracking for the business including proposal and implementation of new KPIs where appropriate* Follow governance and risk guidelines to ensure that controls are in place, particularly with regards to the Resource allocation policy in the area of Marketing Investment, and pricing governance in line with Marketing Governance Framework* Support Senior Marketing Finance Manager on analyses related to Resource Allocation and Pricing decisions within Nordics* Undertake post-implementation reviews of trade, promotional activities, pricing decisions and projects to ascertain whether expected benefits were achieved and other learnings for future activitiesCAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE? * Do you have strong commercial acumen?* Do you have experience working closely with Marketing and being a true business partner to them?ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE* Have a completed degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or similar* Finance professional or MBA with experience of at least 4 years within an FMCG organization or in Consulting* Professional finance qualification (e.g., CIMA) would be a plus* Fluent English is essential. Knowledge of one of the Nordic languages is a plus* Solid business, financial and analytical acumen and strong in interpreting and explaining what drives performance within the business* Experience in setting and tracking financial and marketing KPIs* Proficient in relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP, BPC, and Excel* Proactive, persuasive, and creative by challenging existing, and introducing new ideas* Ability to work under pressure and cope with a changing environment* Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide othersBENEFICIAL * Digital capabilities or experience within Business Intelligence and Analytics are considered an advantage* Experience with and comfort working in a multicultural and international organisation is an advantageWE ARE BATAt BAT we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
