Job ResponsibilitiesThis position will have full end-to-end responsibility of all daily operations for the full hydraulic motor manufacturing with around 90-100 employees that covers all necessary functions. You will drive processes that will maximize safety, quality, delivery, and costs (SQDC). In this position you will lead the implementation of our manufacturing excellence strategy to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.While the duties of this role will be based in Denmark, the Manager, Operations – Motor will work with a diverse team throughout the entire value chain and report to the Plant Director and as an important part work closely together with peers on global level. Additional job responsibility areas would be the following: Safety while driving improvements in the manufacturing environment and behaviors of the workforce. Excellent customer focus driven by SQDC. Ability to navigate in a global, matrixed environment supporting all levels of stakeholders. Implement derived tactical and operational goals from the Danfoss Power Solutions strategy to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations. Accountability for all costs related to operations (variable costs, fixed production costs and CAPEX) supporting business objectives and profitable growth. Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed, such as IATF, ISO 9001f, and the Danfoss Productivity Program (DPP). Perform project management on improvements projects owned and driven by your own technical process and production team. Engage the workforce while embodying the Danfoss values. Background & Skills Relevant education or degree in manufacturing or engineering is preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operations related leadership role. Must have a proven track record of people, team, and process development. Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations including demand planning, forecasting, operational efficiency. Lean transformation expertise and strong operational background to create manufacturing of the future. Proven Change Management expertise to drive initiatives with high employee engagement and success and not the least with sustainable outcome. Exceptional and proven leadership skills. Fluent in Danish, and high English level. Speaking German is not a requirement, but an advantage. To step into this role having a proven and effective self-propelled drive, in combination with a solid independency would be an advantage. Having worked within complex organizations with many stakeholders simultaneously and upfront taking a visible initiative and responsibility is key. We are looking for a hybrid combination. Possessing business minded skills first and foremost will be a distinct advantage as the nature of this position requires a high aptitude and ability level. You use your excellent commercial and business acumen to identify individual tasks in the bigger picture with your holistic view. You have an inbuild natural curiosity, but at the same time you can incorporate analytical specifics into projects and individual tasks when necessary and convey these topics to a broad variety of stakeholders. You can also challenge stakeholders, shining a light on the essence of your findings in relation to managing projects and change management processes efficiently. Having excellent interpersonal, communication, stakeholder and change management skills is a must. You also work effortlessly cross functional and organizational at all levels and sharing knowledge amongst your colleagues, is second nature to you. To support this your pace is high and enjoy being proactive, well organized and solution orientated. You are an energetic and positive team player who can interact and work agile with a notion of transparency and urgency when necessary. You have significant experience, working with cross functional project management. Being an excellent facilitator both virtually and face to face, forming mutual trust is important.
