You will be reporting directly to the CFO – making sure to safeguard FOSS’s interests and ensuring that we operate within the bounds of the law across the globe.As Head of Compliance & Legal, you will lead a team of competent legal and compliance specialists. In total, you have 12 employees (including three managers) divided into 4 teams: Group Legal, Corporate Compliance, Product Compliance, and IP/Patents. Primary tasksAs Head of Compliance & Legal, there will be a strong focus on setting direction and leading the team – using an inspirational direction with an eye for how we best can utilize the skills and experience in the team in order to further develop the team.You will work with specialists in a high pace environment, and we expect you to be able to match the high level – not necessarily being the specialist, but being an inspirational leader that can show the direction by helping to ensure and develop best-in-class policies & processes and set priorities. You will provide general advice to management and business units using your experience as well as what you learn in the role. One of the key responsibilities in the team is to ensure compliance within product regulations, GDPR, export control and trade sanctions and together with the team, you will conduct proper enterprise risk management for the group and manage the group’s key agreements. Qualifications Great leadership and stakeholder management skills are key to succeeding in this role. To succeed in the role, you should be good at structuring tasks and keeping the bigger picture in mind – also if things don’t go as planned.As a leader we expect you to be an excellent communicator – knowing how to inspire, set direction and follow up. We are looking for someone with a a strong commercial mindset who is comfortable communicating the business consequences of any advice given.What do you come with? Your professional background can be either as a lawyer or QA/compliance. If you have legal background, you should – in addition to your law degree – have solid experience in delivering legal support to an international industry, preferably as an in-house counsel. Experience in product compliance will be an advantage.If you have a QA/engineer background, we expect you to come with a relevant master’s degree and solid QA/engineer experience from an international company. You should have extensive experience in identification, prevention, monitoring, and making proactive proposals to resolve issues within product compliance.Furthermore, we expect you to be fluent in English and Danish since you will work with people across the world.Personal skillsThe person we are looking for comes with an extraordinary personal drive. You are thorough, possess good cooperation skills, which enable you to establish professional relations internally and externally.
