The position As a GMP Material Scientist you have the responsibility for critical materials used in GMP production at Novo Nordisk. For this position the focus will be Single Use Systems (systems composed of connectors, sterile filters, bags, hoses etc.) used in our filling facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include: Ensure suitable material control strategies in collaboration with internal parties Be responsible for setting the internal material release specification based on the use in Novo Nordisk. Handling urgent issues with high impact for the use of the materials Representing our team in technical and scientific discussions in projects across the organisation Examples of tasks you will handle could be: Evaluate change notifications from SUS suppliers for potential impact on product quality Participate in root cause investigations for failed SUS Assure that Novo Nordisk production´s needs are met when introducing new SUS Give input to quality agreements with SUS-suppliers You will be in close contact and collaborate with various stakeholders such as inbound supply management, various Novo Nordisk production sites, Production Manufacturing Development, warehouse, and a range of external suppliers. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position: Have a scientific background in engineering, biology, chemistry, or similar at master level or above. Knowledge within polymer chemistry or engineering is considered a plus. About the department You will join our department Material Manufacturing Development in Product Supply, Sourcing Operations. We consist of ~ employees organised in six teams – this position in the Excipient Team is situated in Bagsværd. In the Department, we are responsible for development, implementation, and management of complex materials (raw materials, excipients, primary packaging materials etc.) from use in development to production, and we maintain documentation on existing materials.
