Job DescriptionRegion: Remotely, EuropeWe are seeking for an enthusiastic, customer-oriented GC and GC/MS Product Specialist to support our distribution network in EMEAI. The selected candidate will support Agilent sales channels in Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe directly influencing sales results and marketing activity, managing relationships, and planning business for the product lines of responsibility while keeping an engaged, motivated, and well-trained distribution network.In this role:- You will be accountable for the GC and GC/MS business results in your area of responsibility and must secure product penetration into the Life Sciences, Academia, and Applied Markets- Reporting to the GC & GCMS regional lead, you will interface with the Sales Team, European marketing group, Solutions Unit, and other Application specialists within AgilentYour Main responsibilities include:- Driving and developing the GC and GC/MS business by supporting sales channels to ultimately closing orders and keep a motivated and a well-trained sales force- Managing GC and GC/MS funnel and business intelligence related to your area of responsibility- Supporting GC and GC/MS related marketing activities and actively engage/propose marketing initiatives for your countries of focus- Proactively acting to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries- Actively help the creation of business opportunities- Lead projects requiring coordination with other functions and organizations- Solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexityQualificationsThe ideal candidate should hold a PhD, Master or similar qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or any other similar background.The successful candidate will already have a comprehensive understanding of the GC and GCMS Business and will have no problems articulating how to further strengthen Agilent’s position in this competitive market in front of experienced users or sales distributors.Hands-on experience, knowledge of the Agilent portfolio, appetite for sales and organizational skills to work as a business developer will be deeply valued.Experience of selling GC and GCMS Solutions into the main Life Sciences and Applied Markets will be an important plus.We offer:• Competitive compensation and benefits package• Permanent contract in fast growing global company• Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team• Career development opportunities- This is a great opportunity to join a High Performing Sales Team where you can continue to grow and build on your track record.- The position can be developed from any major European country and will include a 20-30% of travel time.
