Micromechanical setup for microrobot harvesting and transfer Udbyder Vejleder Sted København og omegn Microrobots are a rapidly growing research area because of their potential applications within e.g biomedicine and environmental studies. In our group, we use two-photon polymerization micro 3D printing to fabricate microrobots in stiff or soft polymeric materials. After fabrication and development, the microrobots are attached to a glass substrate. For investigating potential applications, the microrobots need to be transferred into a measurement cell, where they are manipulated in liquids.You will build a micromechanical setup for microrobot harvesting from a planar glass substrate and transferring into a small microfluidic channel. The micromechanical setup will be built around an existing optical microscope setup and will consist of a glass capilary syringe for the mechanical transfer and motorized stages for precise movement in xyz. The goal of the project is to demonstrate efficient harvesting and transfer of the microrobots into the microfluidic channel, i.e. with a success rate > 75 %..
