Alliance Director, Transactions & Alliance Management We have an outstanding opportunity to join our Corporate Business Development & Strategy (CBDS) team as Alliance Director, Transactions & Alliance Management (T&AM). The Alliance Director will be managing a diverse portfolio of Research, Development and Commercial Alliances. This includes leading alliances with cross-organizational engagement and deliverables critical to the future success of Lundbeck, along with defining, communicating, and executing on agreed joint product strategies. It also entails proactive management of the alliances by monitoring and ensuring successful execution of contractual obligations, build strong relations with both the external partner and the internal teams, report on project progress as well as preparing strategic recommendations and risk mitigation plans to Executive Management. Together, we are creating a brighter future for people living with brain diseases.  You will become part of the T&AM team, which is responsible for all deal making activities in pursuit of our external innovation strategy and the full portfolio of alliances and partnerships including our portfolio of out-licensed product rights.  The T&AM team belongs to the CBDS team consisting of 15 people, with the majority located in corporate HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark. The T&AM team works closely with colleagues across CBDS as part of the assessment and execution of BD opportunities – all aiming at making Lundbeck the partner of choice within neuroscience.  Executive Management and most of our R&D organization is also located in Copenhagen. Some travel will be required as part of the role.  Highlights from responsibilities  Alliance execution and value enhancement, including extensive stakeholder engagements internally and externally, scouting for opportunities and data sharing  Relationship management; building, nurturing, and assessing relationships. Representing the alliance within Lundbeck and with the partner Internal and external communication; being the central point of contact related to partner relations  Contract management, including negotiations, interpretation, obligation management and compliance ensuring that contract framework and governance fits with alliance purpose Alliance risk mitigation, providing early identification and mitigation of alliance-associated risks impacting individual alliance and/or project portfolio, along with resolving conflicts and issues at lowest possible level Qualifications  Master’s degree in life sciences or businessProven track record in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong experience in collaborating across organisations and cultures and within project managementSolid experience in working with international R&D and commercial collaborations and the multicultural impact on business relationshipsAbility to lead through coaching, influencing and creative problem solving at different levels or the organizations, including Executive Management Ability to work independently with complex issues within R&D and the commercial areaPossesses personal drive, autonomy, self-motivating ability, positive and collaborative mind-set, outgoing and enjoys working in a busy and team-based environment.Comfortable in taking on a facilitating role, which implies having the confidence to set an agenda, facilitate constructive discussions and maintain a constant overview of the different elements of the partnerships.Fluent in written and spoken English Want to learn more?
