   Are you highly skilled within classical organic chemistry and solid phase peptide synthesis and want to be part of final development activities including scientific support for transferred processes at CMO? Then you could be our new colleague in Bagsværd. The position  We are looking for someone who has a strong scientific background within classical organic chemistry and solid phase peptide synthesis for manufacturing of APIs and chemical modification of recombinant peptides and proteins. Preferable one who is experienced in the process characterisation, also including the process transfer from pilot scale to final production facility. So, what will you do?Support the development of robust chemical processes for phase 3 clinical trials & marketSupport of process transfers to Novo Nordisk’s own production facilities or a CMOParticipate in cross organisational groups and take responsibility for specific tasks in the process transfer to the final production facilityGenerate relevant technical documentation in development reports for use in later regulatory filings and additional work on optimising existing processesAssist project manager during the project, ensuring that all scientific documentation is in place and at the right scientific level before final process validationProcess owner at Novo Nordisk and scientific responsible in the interaction with the production facility after implementationComment on process changes and deviationsGiving input to regulatory registration documents This job gives you a unique opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders including Late Stage Development, analysis teams, QA, RA, Sourcing, pilot facilities, production facilities, and external partners. Minor travel activities must be expected (less than 4 weeks per year). The position does not include practical work in the laboratory.   Qualifications The candidate should have the following qualificationsM. Sc., PhD or equivalent in synthetic organic chemistryPractical experience with organic synthesisPreferably experienced with chemical modification of peptides / proteins and solid phase peptide synthesisPreferably experienced with process transfer from pilot scale to final production facilityinnovative and flexible mind-set being able to convert theory into practical solutionsAble to communicate and collaborate effectively across disciplines in development, production, and with external partnersPositive attitude with the ability to be both a team player and to work independently on complicated tasks ensuring timely progress About the department As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organisation, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (PS API) is responsible for manufacturing of APIs for Novo Nordisk’s products. You will be assigned to Manufacturing Development (MDev), a cross-functional area that works at the interface between R&D and full-scale manufacturing with a focus on process understanding, implementation and optimisation.
