We are looking for highly qualified Cost Engineering Team Manager for our global Procurement department. You will be reporting to the Head of Cost Value Engineering and will be responsible for creating cost transparency of our components, commodities and different technologies covering our full SGRE product portfolio, identify cost drivers and proactively drive design to cost ideas. Commodities involved are: Large & Small Steel Fabrication, Casting, Forgings, Magnets, Fasteners, Composites, Hydraulic and Cooling, Lubrication and Bearings (6 Cost Engineers)

Reporting directly to SGRE CVE Head, leading a team of Cost Engineers for the Commodities of Large & Small Steel Fabrication, Casting, Forgings, Magnets, Fasteners, Composites, Hydraulic and Cooling, Lubrication and Bearings (6 Cost Engineers). Creating cost transparency per component, commodity and tecnology in SGRE. With identified cost drivers you will lead the identification of MCP ideas and guide the developement department with design-to-cost proposals. You will drive the value of components and systems so that SGRE can buy the components to a competitive price.
Dimensions of the function
Main Internal Stakeholders: Strategic Procurement/Commodity Management, Technology/Developement, Projects Technical office, Supplier Quality, Product Portfolio Management, Product Cost Controlling, CVE Business Unit Advance Procurement Engineers when commodity strategy need to be implemented in new Products/Platforms
Knowledge & Experience
You have worked as a cost engineer or similiar position. You have experience managing teams of cost engineers or other technical profiles. You have had a job in an manufacturing area and have gained knowledge about industrial manufacturing processes. You have gained in addition knowledge about price calculation and evaluation of processes. You are used to work in cross-functional projects with other departments within Technology and Procurement
Project / Process
You have experience in Project Management and working in cross-functional teams.
You have experience leading teams in cross-functional enviroments. You are used to participate in workgroups and work in projects and you are used to exert influence at an early stage. You are use to deliver results from your team working in cross-functional workgroup, within challenging times to answer to reducing time-to-market for the introduction of new products, under high cost pressure
You have international experience. Advance level of English is compulsory, Spanish intermediate level would be valued as well as German
You have successfully completed an engineering degree from an university or have a technical equivalent gained by working extensively with manufacturing processes
You are willing to travel 20% of working time, mainly between Spain, Germany and Denmark. Ocasionally to Asia (China, India)
